Hello!

My name is Tanith and I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Geography and Qualified Teacher Status. I live in Addlestone, Surrey and have taught in primary schools in North East and North West Surrey.

I have 22 years of teaching experience and specialise in teaching children aged 3 to 7 years, with experience of teaching children up to the age of 11.

I have been a class teacher, phonics lead, and most recently, an Early Years lead, PSHE lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding lead in a large primary school in North East Surrey.

Within my role as a class teacher I also have experience of working with children with additional needs, for example, children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, global delay and communication and language delay.

All children have the potential to succeed when the learning is tailored to their individual needs. Some children need a bit of extra support with their learning, others need that extra challenge to continue motivating them as learners.

I firmly believe that children learn best when they're having fun. That is why I place a strong emphasis on incorporating play-based learning strategies into my tutoring lessons. Play is not only enjoyable, but it also fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills in a natural and engaging way. It is also the quickest way to learn and develop new skills!

I look forward to supporting your child to help them achieve their full potential.
